Yes, folks this is an original Ron Paul campaign button that has spent the last 19 years gathering dust with other tchotchkes. No longer; not only am I posting it here, but Stephen Gordon represents over at the excellent Third Party Watch.
So, I think it’s safe to say that I’m not a fair weather friend of Ron Paul. I was for him, though nowhere near voting age at the time, back in the day when his candidacy was truly “quixotic.”
Yeah man, I had one of those buttons, too. I was 17, and part of the *original* Ron Paul Revolution. I was at least as excited and fervent as his current supporters. I must have passed out thousands of those blue and white fliers.
Back in my day, we didn’t have no stinking blimp. We had helium balloons at most.
