Alabama lawmakers considering lowering max speed limit from 70 to 65 mph. This will do nothing to improve highway safety, but will definitely increase ticket revenues. Now might be a good time to join the National Motorists Association. (Via Thomason Tracts.) Previous ranting on speed limits.

Thomas McGowan–free after 23 years of wrongful imprisonment in Texas for a rape he didn’t commit.
